NQROC advocates on behalf of its member councils and the region on key issues and priorities. This includes advocating to all levels of government, relevant agencies and organisations on matters such as infrastructure planning and investment, waste and water management, regional development, as well as access to services and livability.

Our work contributes to the public debate, with the aim to highlight the North Queensland region’s concerns and priorities including -

Addressing regional planning issues to respond to challenges and opportunities.

creating a single integrated Transport network accessible to everyone.

managing urban water and wastewater services that are safe, secure, and sustainable.
